Home Sweet Home

Unlike most Saturdays, Warren and I decided to stay home today.

We both woke up early, went to the carpark to exercise a bit, had breakfast, cleaned around the house, had lunch and basically just kicked back and relaxed.

It was also a good opportunity for us to talk about different things… It felt good not having to talk above the noise in malls or in public transportations. It felt good not having to brave traffic getting somewhere. It felt good not having to avoid PDA (public displays of affection for those not yet in the know). It felt good to be free to do whatever we want to do, on a Saturday, because for once, we stayed home.

We probably would be doing this from now on. We both feel that this is healthier for our marriage, too. Staying home on a weekend today made us feel a bit more settled and because we were within easy access of each other the whole day, it even made us feel closer (when we thought we were already pretty close).

Ahhh, truly, home sweet home, so they say.
