My Bestfriend Found Her Prince

Incidentally, my best friend, who is in Australia, dropped a very special bomb today over yahoo messenger.

She’s engaged to the man she loves the most. She emailed me a picture of her engagement ring for proof and I was just so thrilled for her!

Cherry and I have been best friends since third year highschool, she was practically like a sister. Our friendship has gone through a lot and I am so blessed because she stuck it out with me through the years.

Cherry was like an anchor whenever I would go astray back then, she would firmly put my feet back on the ground and chase my head to put it back on top of my shoulders each time it would lose its way. Well, there were times we also fought like cats and dogs, especially whenever she would mother me (which to me was more Smothering than Mothering) but at the end of the day, we’d realize we cannot live without the other so we’d be best friends again.

Yes, our friendship has seen its better days. It had its share of trials, but we’re just glad we never gave up on each other. We promised to be there for one another always, and so shall it be.

Cherry wasn’t home to witness my wedding. She haven’t met Warren yet. But I know she was happy for me that day and I know she was celebrating in her own special way.

This afternoon, Cherry surprised me with the news of her engagement with Argel. My heart almost burst with so much happiness and love for her, I wish she was here so I could have given her my congratulations-I-am-so-giddy-yap-yap-happy-for-you hug, but she isn’t so I just had to content myself with sending her a bunch of emoticons on yahoo messenger.

I’m looking forward to seeing myself seated in one of them bleachers or whatever you call them chairs when Cherry walks down the aisle… I will probably be smiling from ear to feet with happiness for her.

Ahhh, finally… My best friend found her prince…
