Blog Evolution

It disappoints a lot of readers when they find that the woman behind After His Own Heart is not the typical “boxed” image of a Christian woman. Many people perceive that Christian women are meek, submissive, ever-smiling, always accommodating, welcoming, gentle and quiet. So it offends them to see someone like this author claim that she is a Christian woman when she stings, she growls, she bites, she fights back, she is loud and authoritative, in fact, even her own husband admits that she has “bossy manners”.
Should I apologize for that? No. That’s just who I am. I am brazen, but in my brazenness I have, over the last months, learned to settle down too when the time calls for it. I sting, yes, but over the last months, I have learned to sting only when the name of my Lord is blasphemed. Oh and yes, I growl, bite and fight back, but only do so in defense of the Word and of the Truth. That is my calling, and I am just a mere servant, therefore I follow.
After His Own Heart was originally created to inspire, uplift and empower Christian women. It was supposed to be sweet, gracious, loving and ultra-feminine. However, the real character of the blogger will always reflect on her blog, thus, many times, After His Own Heart failed to appear anywhere near the type of blog it aims to be.
If there is one consolation I have over this fact though, it is that After His Own Heart never failed to blog for the Truth. It is because of this that the blog has evolved into something more than just your typical Christian blog. Oh yeah, most of the time it sounds self-righteous, most of the time it sounds uncompromising (well, it is actually), most of the time it also sounds uberly obnoxious and condemning.
Maybe this evolution is only the start of more evolutions to come in the future, but only one thing will remain, After His Own Heart will always be true to the faith and convictions of Biblical Christianity. It will always uphold the Truth.
