Hi Warren
Honestly, I’m a little surprised by the tone of your message
cuz I would think that you would understand that my forwarding such messages is just to let people be reminded of God & that we DO have to claim the promises He gives us in His Word instead of just reading it & not believing it. Yes, we shouldn’t put God in a box and tell Him to do such and such things. My forwarding this message is actually edited because I skipped out the part wherein it says forwarding it will make “something good will happen” to the one who sent it. I feel that part of this forwarded message is the one alanganin so I skipped it out.
It’s always good to remind people of the Lord even through forwarded messages. We just send d message (of course with the right intention, removing alanganin parts) & share it with others. I personally have felt benefited with several “religious” forwarded messages simply because it’s one reminder to not only be aware of Him but to also trust in Him with our everyday circumstances. Name it & claim it – that’s the direct reminder we should always tell our fellow Christians about God’s promises. Many people nowadays put God in a box (On Sundays, in religious meetings, etc) but they don’t even think about Him regarding everyday matters – work, relationships, etc.
I do hope that none of the people whom I sent this to will see my msg the way you did.
I think majority of the people will actually just see the message as a “another religious reminder na nakaka-ilang kasi it’s about faith matters” or something religious. God bless!

my reply:

our purpose here on earth is to make disciples of all nations
and not to “name it and claim it according to God’s promises”
not anywhere in the scriptures can we see jesus advocating such
john says that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us (1john 5:14-15)
and the list there is obviously not His will or plan for us Christians
otherwise, we wouldnt be called Christians
so the list is not according to God’s promises
why else would God let us stay here on earth after professing our faith in Christ?
He could have just raptured us to be with Him forever so we can claim “His promises”
and stop wasting our time here in this world
Christians live here on earth to obey the great commission
make disciples of all nations
and not to be concerned with the cares of this world
because it is the cares of this world that will make us unfruitful (mt 13:22)
and Christ removes those who does not bear fruit (john 15:2)
and if Christ rejected the temptation from Satan in Matthew 4, how much more we?
are we any better than Christ to deserve a better life?
Christ the Son of God did not go thru these promises and then you are claiming that His followers should live in convenience?
being a Christian is not a walk in the park
Stephen was cast out of the city and was stoned to death
James the son of Zebedee beheaded
Philip was scourged, thrown into prison, and afterwards crucified
Matthew being slain with a halberd
Peter was crucified upside down
Andrew was crucified on a cross the two ends of which were fixed transversely in the ground
and many more
is the gospel that offensive that it will lead to persecution?
yes
“You will be hated by all because of My name, but it is the one who has endured to the end who will be saved. ” Matthew 10:22
so if the “name it and claim it” is biblical, i would wonder why none of Jesus’ disciples ever claimed theirs
perhaps we’re better than them all?
and that is what satan wants us all to think
to be like God
your intentions may be good
but obedience is better than sacrifice
if your surprised at my reaction, then fasten your seatbelts on how Samuel reacted concerning this matter on saul (1 sam 15)

Oh ok, now I get it. Thank you, Warren.

im not sure if she got it
i doubt it actually
i dont think shes never a Christian
cause its impossible for a Christian not to bear fruits
