Noah’s Devotion

after Noah docked on mount ararat
after a long wait of 40days and 40nights
for the first time on sea
he finally made it to land
he couldve probably thought to himself
ah finally
now i can build my house for myself
lets make it a big house
plus houses for each of my kids and theirs
since theres no one around this world but me and my family
and ive waited for so long inside that ark with those smelly animals
i deserve better
but instead
right after he went out of the ark
he “…built an altar to the LORD and took some of every clean animal and some of every clean bird and offered burnt offerings on the altar. ” Genesis 8:20
the first thing he did after the flood was to worship God
when he couldve planned other activities for himself
