It’s Anarchy Without Him

The argument between me and Warren the other night gave me a glimpse of what our marriage would be like without Christ – I tell yah, it would be ANARCHY!

Yup, it will be a chaotic union between two people who are so concerned with their pride more than the Word that sustains them as humans, as a people and as society’s basic unit.

That night’s dialogue (I believe he called it ‘hellish argument’ though, lol!) was nothing more than just a picture of a husband who, in his weakness, refuses to admit his wrong and a wife who, in her strength,grandstands and gloats. For what seemed like eternity, Warren and I sat up on our bed debating like fools, both unwilling to give in, both insisting on his/her own logic, both trying his/her best to outwit the other.

It was only by God’s infinite grace and mercy that we both came to our senses and settled down. We realized we were already transgressing and it’s just amazing how God enabled us to see that!

Once again, we were brought down to our knees in thanksgiving. We know that without Christ in our lives, in our marriage, we would never make it as a couple. We just have to admit that we are so different from each other that nothing could ever keep us together apart from Christ. Only Him.
