After His Own Heart

Blogging Truths in a Deceptive World

Release to Us Barabbas

Written by Warren |Posted on August 23, 2008 | Comments

we’d rather see a murderer run on the streets, risking the lives of many, perhaps even our own children’s lives
than to hear the man speak of the truth concerning our sins
it is a price that we’re willing to pay
we don’t even look at the price tag
but we are certain that it is worth it
and we are very sure that there will be more comfort in seeing a murderer in our midst than to see a man speak of our sins!

if there are more choices for us
we’d certainly not choose Barabbas
no for he is a muderer and we’d be held accountable if someone gets killed
we’d rather choose a thief
or a liar
or an adulterer
but in this case
we’d rather choose Barabbas the murderer than to hear this man speak of our sins!
Barabbas won’t judge us
he won’t confront us of our sins
he won’t tell us to repent
he will always see us special
he will love us because we released him
the price! the price! the price is worth it if it will not expose our sins
we will pay any amount just for this man to shut up
even if we break the rule of ethics
even if many will cry for mercy on this man
even if we appear to be devilish in nature
we don’t care anymore
it is a price that we are all willing to pay
release to us Barabbas!
