After His Own Heart

Blogging Truths in a Deceptive World

Normal

I am so relieved to hear from my OB Gynecologist (well, officially, she is now my doctor, lol!) that my uterus is normal.

All possibilities of cysts, tumors, fibroids or abnormalities were ruled out today after the transvaginal, it seemed to have taken forever, but as soon as she announced that I have normal reproductive organs, I felt a sense of peace in my heart and an overwhelming sense of joy. I hopped my way to the AUF Medical Center as Warren and I headed to the laboratory for the semen analysis (another story for another blog post) and we could not help but praise God for answering our prayers.

My initial fear revolved around the condition of my ovaries, having had an abnormal looking bulge in my abdominal area, I have long been suspecting some type of growth but never really had the courage to consult a physician about it because, well, I’m terrified of doctors. Even when I was younger and slimmer, my eldest brother would mercilessly tease me about my unusual body shape, you see at 20 years old and 98lbs, I looked like I was about 3-4 months pregnant.

Anyway, so for a start we were advised to lessen our marital oneness from the usual to just 2-3 times a week and I was strictly ordered to remain in a lying position for at least 2 hours afterwards.I was also given prescription for Clomiphene which I will be taking daily for the next 5 days and then, we are set to return for follicle monitoring on the 3rd of September.

Lord willing, the next test will once more yield normal results. Brethren, kindly pray for Warren and I as we try to journey towards a much anticipated phase called parenthood, may it be His will for us to become parents and may we be strong enough to accept with gracious hearts whatever He gives us – child, or no child.
