Sexual Sin Disqualifies Leaders in the Church for Life

NOTE: this blog post below is my wrong interpretation of disqualification. please note the strikethroughs. do read the response of Phil Johnson on this issue.
i was lead to believe that I was disqualified for life because of what I did in the past. but this disqualification issue is applicable for current leaders only. and i wasn’t a leader at that time.

let me say it again bluntly
sexual sin disqualfies the Christian Christian leader to be in the leadership position or pastoral position for life
even if the person is currently not yet in the leadership position with or without hopes
they cannot be restored to the leadership position for life
if the person is a Christian Christian leader and does this sexual sin
meaning fornication, adultery, or pre-marital sex
whether he is currently a leader of a church or not
he will be disqualified for life

now there are 2 kinds of sins that will disqualify the Christian Christian leader to be in a leadership position
1. sexual sin
2. heresy or preaching wrong major doctrines
and these 2 are sins strictly prohibited DURING the Christian Christian leadership life
but we’re going to talk about #1 here
#2 is another issue that I’m not yet ready to discuss
here is a comment I made from a previous post concerning this issue:

in 1 Corinthians 9:27
““But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.””

notice the phrase Paul uses here
“…I myself should be disqualified”

that means there is this possibility of being disqualified.

and Paul with his status of being an apostle would even fear of being disqualified? if Paul would fear this disqualification, how much more should we?

and being disqualified doesn’t say that we are not forgiven.

as a Christian, our sins are forgiven, from past to future.

and that is good.

but let us not confuse the act of disqualifying someone as an act of unforgiveness.

the forgiveness is there. but this doesnt nullify the standard for leaders set by Paul on 1Tim3:2 and Titus 1:6

“A bishop then must be blameless. a husband of one wife…”

notice the “a husband of one wife” being united with someone else breaks this law. because they became one flesh.

therefore sexual sin disqualify the man from preaching and leading the church because he failed to be blameless

if we do not disqualify these fallen men, we are disobeying this scripture we read and are lowering the standards of God

that is why Paul commands us to
“Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.” 1Cor 6:18

“Wounds and dishonor he will get,And his reproach will not be wiped away.” Proverbs 6:33

if you want to know more, you can read John MacArthur’s article here: http://www.gty.org/Resources/articles/32

you may think that being a pastor is impossible
no one then will be qualified with this standard
especially in our generation today!
who then can do this task?
let me tell you
yes
it is impossible

but Christ says
“What is impossible with men is possible with God.” Luke 18:27
