After His Own Heart

Blogging Truths in a Deceptive World

The Sad Christian

Written by Warren |Posted on September 30, 2008 | Comments

after a series of fallen a-bombs around us
Hazel and I shelled ourselves in as a natural defense mech
fearing what God will do next to us
making every effort to isolate ourselves from possible instruments of God to throw us another bomb
looking at a person crossing our paths thinking
will God use you to strike me this time?

we’ve been hurt and wounded
looking around us hoping that we’d see signs of undamaged land
but our assets are slowly running out
even our backup assets are gone
one by one they’re falling down
our plans failed and broken
I have only a little left in our assets to help my family survive
but even that is quickly being depleted
enemies would rise from the ground and crush us both
seeing the situation, I realized that I’d rather suffer alone than involving my wife to this suffering
but no matter where we turn
something will always rise up in front of us to strike us down
striking us down till we cry our eyes out
be it from our neighbors, friends, relatives, families, internet, even our own households
this is the moment where Hazel and I would pray to God
please give us a break
give us a moment of peace
at least in our hearts
this thing you’ve been doing to us is humanly impossible
we cannot bear the pain anymore
we don’t know if the next arrow will be coming from the left or the right or the back or the front
we have no idea
and we don’t know when it will begin
and when it will end
we know Christians will go thru these stages
it is said in the Bible that we hold onto
but in our case, it is very difficult
and we’re very tired
its been more than 3months since we started holding our breaths
how long o God will you submerge us into this boiling pitch?
how long will you continue on breaking our bones?
how long will you spill our guts to the ground?
we’re in the this black pitch that we need you to take us out of it
can’t even find the right words to describe the pain
but all we could ask is
what’s next?
