Bible Study Series One Done

we finally finished our Bible Study series on the Kingdom Parables last night (Matthew 13)
and it was really a blast
since we started a couple of months ago (July 5), I felt I’ve improved my communication skills in our discussions
at first I was really nervous and would stutter in our discussions
but after these series I felt more confident praise God

I’ve been using John MacArthur’s study guide on the Kingdom Parables
which can be found in the ff links:

and I would highly recommend using these studies if you are looking to start a biblestudy with people who are not sure of their condition with God
also I wasn’t expecting positive feedbacks from the attendees
both of them responded by asking questions of what they needed to do
what action is needed to take place in response to the Gospel
I was so happy to see their reaction
this would only mean that God is opening their understanding
here in the province, expository preaching is very very very rare
if you read my last post on Church Hunting, you’d see what I mean
and our friend admitted that most Protestant Churches here are like that sad to say
there’s only probably one decent Church here in the province but yet we still need to investigate further

when Hazel and I got the chance to peek on the mailing list of people who requested free CDs/materials from GTY, we realized that there is only one person in our province who made this request
and this one person is our close friend
right there we saw the reality of us as very few, against the many lost souls in this province
we immediately realized our purpose here
we realized we were sent here for this purpose
which is to spread out the Truth of the Gospel
and making our decision to move up to this province was no accident at all
especially seeing how our attendees responded
the response was fast and we’ve been here for just less than a year
I was expecting to get positive response like 3-5yrs the least
but in our case, it was fast
praise God that He has a plan for the province of Pampanga!
may God continue to use us in other areas of this province
as we were planning to move to a more remote area
where adultery is rampant
and having multiple husbands as a norm
we even met one lady there who asked us if we wanted to adopt her new born daughter!
we also met one couple who was living with the wife’s boyfriend and who is currently married to his wife!
that and many more from this neighborhood that we wanted to preach to
please continue to pray for us that we may move there and be used by God
