Children’s Ministry

The children’s ministry commenced today.
I had two attendees, 4 year old John Lem and 3 year old Grace, both kids live next door to us. It is my first time to teach toddlers so it was really challenging. Grace is on the hyper side and she is like a parrot, she would repeat every word I’d say even if she isn’t supposed to. John Lem was shy at first but he was attentive and he likes to write on my small white board. I did not use visuals and I have not engaged them in activities yet, I just had to use what available resources we have for now and hope for the best in the next classes.
I read them the story of creation, using the book my mom gave us for illustrations. I taught them letter recognition and of course we started with the letter “A”. They learned how to demonstrate how a fish swims and how a bird flies by putting their palms together and wiggling it and by stretching their hands on each side and flapping them. I had fun but I really wish there were more kids who were able to come. Anyway, the children’s parents are helping us spread the word about our ministry so we pray that God will lead more people to our humble home in the next few days.
We are asking for your prayers still, times are tough for us right now, we are beginning to run out of resources, and each step we take in spreading the Word, the more challenges we are faced with so please do not forget about us.
