I got you, babe!

Okay, this one is downright funny and at the same time, surprising.

Warren was working on transferring everything to our newly acquired ‘abode’ when something caught his eye – an email address of one commenter who found no qualms in expressing HER disgust over an open letter I published here in September. His curiosity over the identity of the commenter nagged at him so he copy-pasted the email address, went to friendster and, for a good speechless three seconds, he stared at the photo of the email address owner, then laughed.

I turned my head to see what he was laughing about but he quickly clicked on x, so I asked, “what’s so funny?” and he showed me, anyway. Well, I stood there with my mouth hanging open. For real. When the initial shock subsided, I laughed and had to shake my head several times in disbelief.

Anyway, the point is this:

First, if you claim you are a Christian then you must be bold enough to step up the plate and defend your faith. Come on, kiddo, stop hiding behind an email address, the world wide web doesn’t guarantee you protection and for someone who manages “more than 20 sites”, you should really have known better. But that is really beside the point. I am more peeved at the fact that you sounded so aghast over the article but tremendously displayed cowardice in coming forward and claiming the god that you believe in and tried to defend, albeit in vain.

Second, your action is just beyond me. You claim to know and even teach the book of law but you don’t practice it. You even sent me an email in response to mine and was “convincingly” sweet and kind enough to wish me well. I really thought we were online buddies, but boy was I so wrong! How shameful is that?

Lastly, yes, you got me there. You must have been laughing your head off all this time thinking your cover is secure. But like I always say, nothing lasts forever. I just blew your cover, ma’am. Word of advice, next time you have something passionate to say about any article posted here, bring it on, hook, line and sinker, will yah? Oh, and it will also help if you don’t pretend we’re, uhm, “chums” when deep in your heart, we are not.
