I have found this site yesterday while Googling Bryan Chapell cause I wanted to learn more about this “new” style of preaching…well it’s not really new, it’s just I was so hooked up with John MacArthur so much that I didn’t bother listening to other preachers. After discovering this site, I decided to use their materials for my study. I’ve downloaded the MP3s and printed the study guides then integrated these courses into my existing schedule (see attached image). After listening to several messages, I can’t wait to start class tomorrow.

As I was looking at my schedule I noticed my lack of time for Hazel. I also expressed to her that we might risk our relationship to being callous (because I will be doing my study beside her except that I can’t talk to her much). We’d be creating an illusion that we’re together but in fact we’re not. I then asked her if this is ok with her “of course I will miss you, but I think it’s the best and practical way for you to pursue your pastoral ministry.” I then assured her that this is not just my ministry but this would be OUR ministry. I also encourage her to pursue ministry for women so she can encourage them to be more of a Proverbs 31 type of women. To which she agreed.

I’m very happy to see the support of my wife in our ministry. I just wish we could have a vacation somewhere someday or have more time for each other and build our relationship together for ourselves. After all, we are husband and wife aren’t we?
