Choosing My Career Paths

Next week we will be moving (again) somewhere nearer our local church. We’ve stayed here in our place for just about 3 months. Since the gospel was not welcomed here, and after much prayer, we thought that it would be best if we move elsewhere. Now the question remains whether or not we would want to do another mission work in where we will be moving to. Right now I’m loosing my priority and passion on mission work and starting to focus on equipping the church or at least professing Christians – The doors to church planting or mission work is being closed while the opportunity to serve in churches is being opened.
As several trial attempts on mission work were made, I’m still looking for that place where I really fit in. Whether or not I will pastor or plant a church. But right now more evidence is being shown that I will be pastoring a church soon. It’s just a question of which church – our local church or some other.
Next week in our prayer meeting will be my preaching debut. And funny as it sounds, I’ve already started thinking about the text I will be preaching for almost a month now! And I’ve started preparing the sermon outline since Tuesday this week and will be making my final outputs next week. I know it’s just a prayer meeting, meaning hardly less than half of the congregation will be there, but the idea of me preaching just excites me and makes my knees itchy. But it will be the time wherein the members will hear me first time. To think that we are technically new there (we’ve begun attending only 2 months ago). So people will go “who the heck is this kid and where did he come from? I hardly know this kid and now he’s starting to preach?!” You can just imagine the pressure. I can only hope I would be invited again to speak after that.
